Last Friday, the Landmark Academy community came together for a day that was about much more than golf.

Our 2nd Annual Tee Up for the Playground Golf Outing brought together families, local businesses, community partners, staff, and supporters with one shared goal: helping create a new elementary playground for our students.

From the first tee-off to the final raffle drawing, the day was filled with great conversation, friendly competition, and a strong sense of community. Sixteen teams spent the day on the course, enjoying 18 holes together while supporting a project that will have a lasting impact on Landmark students for years to come.

Throughout the event, there was plenty of laughter, stories shared between old friends and new acquaintances, and countless reminders of what makes this community so special. Participants enjoyed meals together, celebrated raffle winners, and took time to connect with others who care deeply about providing meaningful opportunities for children.

What stood out most wasn’t the scorecards—it was the people.

We saw community members cheering one another on, local organizations stepping forward to support a cause that matters, and families coming together around a vision for the future. Events like this remind us that when a community works together, incredible things can happen.

We are especially grateful to our event sponsors and supporters, including Summit Management Consulting, Petoskey Stone Media, Eastern Michigan Bank, Superior Heating & Cooling, QCS, RPA, and many other local businesses and organizations that helped make the outing a success. Their generosity, along with the support of every golfer, volunteer, and attendee, played an important role in helping us reach our goal.

And we’re excited to share some wonderful news:

Because of the incredible support shown at this year’s outing, we reached our fundraising goal for the new elementary playground!

This achievement belongs to the entire Landmark community. Every team that registered, every sponsor who participated, every volunteer who gave their time, and every supporter who contributed helped make this possible.

Now the fun part begins.

As plans move forward, we’ll be sharing updates on the playground project and construction process. We can’t wait to see this vision become a reality for our students and families, and we look forward to bringing you along for the journey.

To everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, donated, and supported this event in any way—thank you. Your generosity and commitment to our students made a meaningful difference, and we are incredibly grateful.
